Introduction

The Third World Network organised a 2-day seminar on 'Current Developments in the WTO: Perspective of Developing Countries' in Geneva on 14-15 September 2000.

The seminar brought together diplomats, policy makers and experts from developing countries as well as UN agencies and other international agencies.

It discussed a wide range of current issues that are now before the WTO: agriculture, services, implementation, review of TRIPS and TRIMs, the dispute settlement system, and the proposed New Issues of investment, competition, government procurement, labour, etc.
